GIUSEPPE PIFFARETTI
The Pied Piper of Chocolate.
Giuseppe Piffaretti, known as the owner of the Bottega del Fornaio in Mendrisio, where he can experience his alchemy of flour, sugar and cacao. Some others know him as PIFF, baker, pastry chef and confectioner who is often special guest on RSI programmes such as The Cucinatori and Piattoforte.
Over the years he has discovered a deep love for chocolate that led him first to follow several courses with Pascal Brunstein, and then he got 1 silver Award and 2 bronze medals in many editions of the Ice Cream World Championship.
In addition he is a professor of the Lugano School of Pastry in Trevano, consultant at the Academy of Bakery and Confectionery Master in Ticino and exclusive member at the Ambassador Club Callebaut (Chocolate Academy).
